Mitigation Services
Myriad life events shape an individual's temperament, and many adverse experiences can facilitate antisocial and criminal behavior. We uncover mitigating factors, such as a client's past trauma, exposure to violence or environmental toxins, childhood neglect, and/or intellectual disabilities, and detail findings in a comprehensive report for the defense team. Not only does the report tell the client's unique life story, it includes an assessment of services that could help facilitate the client's rehabilitation.
The report may contain photographs, event timelines, science/research that supports mitigating factors, and more.
Sentencing Advocacy and Other Services
We spend time truly getting to know a client and his/her family, and we believe in treating the people with whom we interact with respect and sensitivity. We recognize how important it is to establish trust with them if we are to be effective.
We gather extensive information and documents that allow us to zealously advocate for a client. We consider ourselves a part of the core defense team.
Other Services:
We assist defense teams in reviewing draft plea agreements, sentencing guideline calculations, and departure issues.
